Ashridge Estate 24 November

The Ashridge Estate in the Hertfordshire Chilterns near Berkhamsted has many woodland glades with beech trees, which look particularly beautiful in the Autumn:

Ashridge House Gardens 21 November 2013

Last weekend my photography friend Rachel Piper (see rachelpiper.me.uk for her beautiful artwork), showed me round the gardens of Ashridge House in the Chiltern Hills of Hertfordshire. The maple trees looked particularly beautiful with their autumn colours:

I was delighted to see that my image of a wren in flight features in the October 2013 edition of Outdoor Photography magazine, in an article showcasing this years results of the British Wildlife Photography Awards.

Summer Wild Flowers at College Lake July 2013

College Lake is a beautiful nature reserve near Tring, Hertfordshire managed by the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust. As well as the lake it has areas set aside for wild flowers, such as these beautiful cornflowers and poppies
