Linking codes

To create a link within the site, enclose the name of the page that you want to link to within double square brackets. For example test page.

If there is a section title that matches the text in a link, the link will be interpret as a within-page link to that title. For example: garden birds.

A "display name" for a link can be inserted between the two closing square brackets. For example guide to editing and formatting codes.

To link to a URL within the site, include the leading /. For example this page or the home page.

To link to an external site, use the full URL (including http://). Linking to an external site might cause the page on which the link appears to be publicly discoverable.

To create a new page, create a link to the desired page by placing its name between double square brackets in the text of a page intended to link to the new page, follow that link, and edit the content of the new page in the normal way.
